Suez to Spin Off ‘Green’ Unit

A giant in the booming “green” industry will be born next month when Paris-based utility Suez SA spins off its environment unit into a stand-alone company.  The new company, to be called Suez Environment, will focus on the businesses of water and waste.  The stock is being pitched to investors as a way to profit from changes in behavior by countries and corporations in response to rising energy costs and global warming.
