Samsung Renewable Energy<\/strong> and Pattern Energy Group<\/strong> said they have signed a 20-year power purchase agreement with the Ontario Power Authority for the 100 megawatt Belle River Wind project in Ontario, Canada. Duke Energy<\/strong> has established a $10 million Water Resources Fund to make grants to improve water quality, protect fish and wildlife habitats and expand public access to waterways in several U.S. States. The Mosaic Company<\/strong> has been recognized by the environmental non-profit CDP as a leader among Standard & Poor\u2019s 500 Index companies for its actions to reduce carbon emissions and mitigate the business risks of climate change.<\/p>\n

Apple<\/strong> was among the most criticized companies last week, as it was accused by the European Commission of benefiting from illegal state aid in Ireland through corporate tax deals; similar investigations also involving the Netherlands and Luxembourg are targeting Google<\/strong>, Starbucks <\/strong>and Fiat<\/strong>. In Germany, Google was ordered to limit how it combines user data that could be used to find out customers\u2019 personal preferences.
