What we are  waiting for is just the country&#8217;s governing legislation on this issue,&#8221;  said Hirotaka Murakami, the CEO of Panasonic Group in Thailand. Thailand has been trying to draft legislation on waste electrical and  electronic equipment (WEEE) for eight years, to be in line with the  European Union directive, which required manufacturers, distributors and  importers to clean up waste by December 2006.
