The Bentonville, Ark.-based chain said it will give more than 1.1  billion pounds of food &#8212; from packaged goods to fresh produce &#8212; to  food banks and other nonprofit groups. It also is providing $250 million  in grants to hunger-relief groups, including $6 million to buy  refrigerated trucks for Feeding America and $2 million to the National  Recreation and Park Association&#8217;s summer food program for children.  Wal-Mart said it is lending its expertise in logistics to help nonprofit  organizations deliver and store food more efficiently.
