Bridgestone\u2019s initiative is an extension of the \u201cThink Before You Drive\u201d campaign that was launched in 2005 in collaboration with FIA (F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de l\u2019Automobile). Designed to help reduce road deaths, estimated at 1.2 million a year globally, Bridgestone carried out more than 20,300 safety checks in 19 countries throughout Europe in 2006.
