This is the free public version of Covalence ethical quotation system. The EthicalQuote curves are given by aggregating thousands of positive and negative news items gathered from various online sources. They measure the ethical reputation of multinationals.

This database has been populated since 2002 by an international team of > 400 intern ethical information analysts. Everyday, 20 analysts perform 80 hours of reading, screening 2000 news items.

In the spirit of a journal’s readers section, interested parties can communicate using the online form, thus feeding the database and influencing the “ethical quote” of companies.

The methodology relies on a set of 45 criteria associated with a binary concept for coding the orientation of information (positive, negative).
